Bookmice

Hello. My name is Madison, and this is my first blog. I have recently been interested in a puppet-show children's television series known as Bookmice! If I were still able to edit Wikipedia, I would be editing their article on Bookmice, because it needs a whole lot of improvement, although I was falsely banned from Wikipedia, as they believe that I am a sockpuppet of Bambifan101, which I will get to later on another post.

Bookmice was created in 1991, had 67 episodes, and only has 4 available episodes on the internet, and I am trying to find a way to be able to watch more episodes of the show and to get more information on the show. I have recently emailed one of the main puppeteers of the show, Nina Keogh.

This is what I wrote to her:

"Hello. I see that you were involved in creating the show "Bookmice" from 1991. I want all the episodes of it and only 4 are on the internet. Is there a way that you can help me get these episodes? Please reply as soon as possible."

Nina Keogh had this response:

"Thanks for liking the show. Sorry I can't help you. I've only got a couple myself.
Cheers."

After this, I contacted the TV network that aired the show via their website.

This is what I wrote to them:

"Do you remember your TV series "Bookmice" from 1991? It had 67 episodes according to Wikipedia (which I actually wouldn't be surprised if that is inaccurate), and I can only find 4 on the internet. I REALLY WANT THOSE EPISODES! I'm sorry about my degree of desperateness, but I really liked the4 episodes I saw and want to improve its Wikipedia article as well as create its Wiki. I'm not asking you to broadcast it. I'm asking you to simply give me more details. Perhaps you could find some of the people involved in making the show (such as actors/actresses, producers, directors, etc.)'s contact details (of course that of which you are allowed to give me), or maybe you could give me further details about the show. Or you could upload the missing episodes somewhere on the internet and give the webpage to me. I don't care if I have to buy the episodes even, I just want those episodes! Also, I am not from Ontario, and I am not Canadian. Summary: Help me get episodes for Bookmice!"

TVOntario had this response:

"Dear Madison,
Thank you for contacting TVO, and for your interest in our programming. Unfortunately we do not sell any copies of our programming, past or present; regarding old programs broadcast on TVO, the broadcast and distribution rights to series from past decades have expired with no plans to renew due to the prohibitive costs associated with copyright clearance. This is true of both acquired content and content created in-house. This explains why such programs are largely unavailable to find anywhere at this point in time.

Regarding making episodes of Bookmice available to view, we simply do not have the resources to accommodate any requests for our content, however you may be interested to know that, with respect to the TVO Archive project (http://archive.tvo.org), we are in the process of reviewing the entire TVO archive to determine what we can preserve, what we can share online, and what the associated costs are. We have anticipated that this process will take about 5 years.

I’ve searched our database, and have found the main Producer/Director to be Jeremy Pollock and the main puppeteer to be Nina Keogh for Bookmice, however we unfortunately cannot provide any further producer/director/actor details in this regard, although I do see that many of the actors are listed on the Wikipedia page here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bookmice

The only further details we can really offer in this regard is the original TV listing description for the series, the description for each corresponding episode in this series, and I can confirm that there were 67 episodes for Bookmice.
